A very successful 3 day exhibition last weekend. We had well over a thousand visitors, raised over £250 for group funds and acquired many new photos for the archive including a large collection of quality negatives from local press photographer Les Edwards dating as far back as the 1930s.

Last night's AGM for the group saw a change in committee. Angela Burrell retired as secretary and was replaced by Diana Velhagen. Bob Bishop retired as Vice Chairman and was replaced by David Emerson. Mike Ling retired as Chairman and was replaced by Wayne Beauchamp. David Ling remained as Treasurer.

The North Walsham Archive Facebook page goes from strength to strength. We have virtually 3,000 group members which is the equivalent of approximately a quarter of the town's 12,000 population!!! We have over 3,6000 photos on the Facebook group, information and documents and a great community atmosphere. Feel free to join us by going to facebook and searching for "North Walsham Archive".

At the end of 2013 we started a Facebook Group for members to discuss the history of North Walsham and share their photos and memories of the town. Currently we have approx. 1,200 members. That's about 10% of North Walsham's population!

Brian Hedge will be presenting a slide show entitled "The History of the Norfolk Broads" at 7pm on Saturday 10 November at the Atrium. Tickets 5 each will be available from the Showcase Gallery, Market Place, North Walsham.
